Ancon Construction Receives Safety Award

South Bend Tribune, June 8, 2008 / GOSHEN -- Ancon Construction recently received a Platinum Award by the national Associated Builders and Contractors group through its Safety Training and Evaluation Process program.
The platinum level is ABC's highest honor and recognizes ongoing exemplary efforts in safety training and awareness.
Criteria evaluated by ABC include excellence in safety program goal setting, pre-planning for job-site safety, employee training and participation, new employee orientation, inspections, toolbox safety meetings and use of personal protective equipment, among many others.
Platinum winners must first receive a Gold Award for the previous year, which Ancon was given last fall. As a Platinum Award winner, Ancon is now eligible to compete for ABC's National Safety Excellence Awards and Construction User's Roundtable/Construction Industry Safety Excellence awards.
