In November, 2008, the Associated Builders and Contractors of Indiana (ABC-Indy) filmed a video for the “StickToSchool” website, featuring ABC’s metal building apprenticeship program. Ancon employees Mitch Kelley and Drew Buss, currently enrolled in the apprenticeship program, traveled to Indianapolis and were interviewed in the video. Both Mitch and Drew are very enthusiastic about the opportunities this training program provides. We think both the guys did a great job of representing apprentices in the building trades, and in encouraging others to “Stick to School” and get involved in apprenticeship programs.
The mission of StickToSchool is to increase the high school graduation rate. “Our goal is to provide as many resources as possible to make it easier to find what you are looking for in an education and the business world. Our primary focus is to inform young people on the value of a formal high school/college education, as well as to motivate young people to have a high degree of self worth. StickToSchool is a project of Inner Vision. As a nonprofit 501(c)3 organization, 20/20 Inner Vision's mission is to increase high school graduation rates and create positive employment futures by instilling a sense of pride and dignity in the youth of America.”
