Ancon Construction Appoints New Company President

GOSHEN, Ind. – Goshen-based Ancon Construction announces the appointment of a new company president and other staff changes.
John Place has been appointed company president. Place joined Ancon in 1994 and most recently served as manager of Ancon’s Building Services division, which specializes in renovations, remodeling and emergency repairs. He was also secretary of the board of directors, and will continue to serve as a member of the board. Place holds a B.S. in business management from the University of Northern Iowa.
Tony Campanello has been promoted to director of Ancon’s Building Services division. Campanello came to Ancon in 2006 as a project manager and estimator for Building Services. A graduate of Elkhart Central High School, he is a state-licensed building inspector and a certified home inspector, with 23 years of construction industry experience.
Rhett Fisher has been appointed as secretary/treasurer of the company. He is a controller with Ancon and joined the company in 2006. Prior to that, Fisher was an auditor with Crowe Horwath LLC and was their lead auditor for Ancon for seven years.
Gary Wetzel will continue his role as vice president, board member and manager of business development, planning and design, while company founder Andrew Frech will continue to serve as chairman of the board.
