South Bend Clinic Portage Set To Open Oct. 1

GOSHEN, Ind. – The South Bend Clinic Portage, located at 4440 N. Portage Rd. and built by Ancon Construction, will open Oct. 1. The nearly 14,000-square-foot facility will be immediately occupied by Skyway Primary Care physicians Robert Hruskovich, Thomas Seasly and Mark Stanish. In spring 2008, they will be joined by Family Care Associates physicians James Blechl, David Bertoncini, Anton Crepinsek and Curtis Gongwer.
“This location is our first major satellite in the northwest part of our community,” said Matthew Romanin, chief operating officer of The South Bend Clinic. “It facilitates the clinic providing high-quality primary care in a convenient location to this growing residential area.”
In-house access to x-ray, digital mammography and laboratory services are among the clinic’s offerings.
“As part of The South Bend Clinic, South Bend Clinic Portage utilizes electronic medical records and digital radiology to ensure seamless access to the full breadth of patient information,” Romanin explained. “In addition, patients of South Bend Clinic Portage may be referred easily to specialists within the partnership, many of whom practice at The South Bend Clinic in downtown South Bend.”
Romanin said the construction process has been smooth and yields a facility that will nicely meet the needs of the clinic’s patients. “Working with Ancon has been a positive experience. They’ve delivered a high-quality, very appealing facility,” he said. “We anticipate that we’ll hold an open house sometime this fall to share this building with our new neighbors.”
