The Ice Box Skating Rink project consisted of a 37,000-square-foot pre-engineered metal building (PEMB), paired with a 6,800-square-foot adaptive-reuse renovation, which added modern functionality while preserving the site’s historic character, a former Oliver Plow factory built in 1920.
The expanded facility features a new NHL-sized rink, team locker rooms, spectator seating, and a dynamic lobby with concessions, lounge space, and a pro shop.
Ancon’s Integrated Design-Build™ methodology ensured seamless integration with decades of existing additions, each with varying elevations and materials. Historic columns were creatively repurposed into the new design.

Ancon partnered with returning client Dr. Mader to create a new dental spa, Care Esthetics. After considering several locations, the Ancon team helped secure a prime spot in Heritage Square, on Mishawaka’s north side. The design team faced the challenge of converting a former photo studio into a 5-exam room clinic. They swiftly completed demolition, allowing the transformation to begin.
The dental spa provides traditional dental services, along with spa services, giving clients an enhanced experience.

Stauffer Associates has once again tapped Ancon to do a brand refresh for another of their Buffalo Wild Wings locations. The Mishawaka location was last updated in 2017 and was due for a franchise update. Most of the work focused on finishes such as carpeting and painting.
The accomplishment of this project was not merely measured in the physical changes but also in the precise orchestration that ensured the restaurant’s seamless return to full operational status as planned, within a few days!
