Ancon Begins Project at Evil Czech Brewery

Ancon Construction and Pesek, Inc are excited to announce that construction has started on the Evil Czech Brewery in Mishawaka.  The brewery designed and built by Ancon, will be located at 3703 North Main Street.  The project, which will be overseen by Project Manager Sean Welty and Field Superintendent Ed Mroczek, is estimated to be complete in early February.

The project involves the renovation of approximate 9,000 sf and a 1,500 sf building addition.  Programmatic spaces include a bar, restaurant area, kitchen, cooler building, onsite brewing and grain silo. Owner George Pesek and Ancon architect Todd Miller envision the new brewery to mimic the old brewing factories of Milwaukee, Wisconsin.  The new exterior will celebrate the materials and tectonics of steel with steel columns, diagonal cross bracing, and metal – complementing a brick and block façade.  The interior features a window wall system showcasing the brew-making process and the operations.  Stainless steel beer storage tanks, encased behind viewing windows, will delineate the bar and dining spaces.
